Synopsis: OHARNG FY25 CJAG Culvert Project
The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business sources. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. The Ohio National Guard (OHARNG) intends to issue a solicitation and award a contract for the repair/installation of culverts at various locations across the Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center (CJAG) in Ravenna, Ohio. Work to be accomplished includes but may not be limited to the following items:
BASE BID - DESIGN BUILD
The base bid will consist of two culverts. The contractor will be required to assess the areas surrounding the existing culverts and create a design that will include both replacing the culverts and correcting erosion issues
Smalley Road Box Culvert
The existing culvert is a 6- x 6- concrete box culvert and is 32- long. Rock gabion wingwalls have failed resulting in erosion of the roadway embankment. The existing culvert also appears to be undersized based on channel observations. Additionally, there is little clearance between the ends of the culvert and the edge of the pavement at each end, which creates a safety hazard for motorists.
Perform the necessary site investigations to include geotechnical, site survey, hydraulic analysis, wetland delineation, etc. to develop construction drawings and specifications required for a new box culvert. A prior recommendation for a box culvert with a 6- rise and 12- span and length of 40- to include rock channel protection at inlet and outlet and new guardrail in compliance with design ... - Documents:
