NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulations 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando VA Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, Florida, 32827, intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract for a service contract to preventative maintenance and corrective services and, if necessary, install replacement parts to cause inoperable equipment to perform according to the equipment original equipment manufacturers (OEM) material specifications to ensure optimal working condition and lessen the likelihood of downtime to two (2) Trumpf Surgical Tables which interface with the DaVinci Robot. This will be awarded as a base period of twelve months plus four (4) optional ordering periods of twelve months at a firm-fixed-price.This procurement is for a Sole Source Justification in accordance with FAR 13.501(a), where acquisition conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 800 employees. The current FAC is 2022-04 dated 6/11/2025. This procurement is also being conducted in accordance with procedures in FAR 13.106-1(b) soliciting from a single source.If vendors believe they have the technical capability to meet this specific need, submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government s requirements.
