Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract. Pursuant to FAR 12 and 13.5, Veterans Health Administration VHA), Network Contracting Office 8 intends to conduct a sole source acquisition for Veterans Residential Services for eligible beneficiaries from The Salvation Army, 1100 W. Sligh Ave, Tampa, FL 33604. Under the contemplated one (1) year contract, the contractor will provide off-site Veteran Residential Services in support of the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH). This notice of intent to conduct a sole source acquisition is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any responsible source who believes it can perform the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501 Special documentation requirements for sole source exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Contracts awarded using FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition. The applicable NAICS code is 624229 with a $19.M size standard. The PSC is G004.
