Description:
THE WORK OF THIS PROJECT INCLUDES THE DEMOLITION OF EXISTING MANUAL AND MOTOR OPERATED BUTTERFLY VALVES AND REPLACEMENT OF THE MANUAL AND MOTOR OPERATED BUTTERFLY VALVES THAT ARE DEMOLISHED IN KIND WITH NEW EQUIPMENT AT THE GIBRALTAR PUMP STATION INCLUDING ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS WORK AS IDENTIFIED BY THE ELECTRICAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. THE WORK INCLUDES PIPING MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO INSTALL THE NEW VALVES WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE THE SAME LAY LENGTH AS THE EXISTING VALVES REPLACED. THE VALVES AND VALVE OPERATORS TO BE REPLACED ARE IDENTIFIED ON DRAWING G-02 AND INCLUDE: BFV 009, BFV 010, BFV 011, BFV 106, BFV 107, BFV 108, BFV 002, BFV 004, BFV 006, BFV 008, BFV 100, BFV 101, BFV 102, BFV 001, BFV 003, BFV 005, BFV 007, BFV 103, BFV 104, AND BFV 105. THE PROJECT WILL ALSO REPAIR CORRODED SUCTION PIPING OF PUMP NOS. 005, 006, AND 007. THIS WORK IS SHOWN ON DRAWING M-03 .
