This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is 75N94025Q00252 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-06. Globus is used for the intramural NIH campus and is managed by High-Performance Computation Biowulf Cluster as a centralized service for the NIH scientific community. Many NICHD scientists in the intramural NICHD community routinely transfer data to and from Helix/Biowulf and other major computational centers on campus, and it is vital for them to have appropriate, secure, and user-friendly tools such as Globus. Globus at the University of Chicago proprietary software is the only commercially available product that can properly maintain all the essential functionalities required in support of the intramural scientists need to transfer data to and from Helix/Biowulf.
