Description
This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is being solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. Marine construction will involve demolition and removal of approximately 224-324 ft of Section B of the existing north pier SSP and timber cribbing structure and replacement with a stone revetment which will act as a wave attenuator. Handrails may be installed along walkway as an option. An H-pile supported concrete walkway will be integrated into a rubble mound wave attenuator 16 feet north of the existing pier structure to connect the adjacent portions of the pier that will remain in-tact. The new walkway will be offset away from the channel to ensure that the new stone revetment will not protrude into the channel. To connect the new walkway with the existing walkways at either end there will be rectangular cellular structures, perpendicular to the primary walkway, constructed of steel sheet pile, walers, and tie-rods.
