THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY.
The U.S. Government desires to procure Green Helium-Neon (HeNe) Lasers for the United States Military Academy - Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering at West Point, NY. The USMA P&NE is looking to procure a Green HeNe Laser with the following specifications:
a. Laser Type: Helium Neon (HeNe)
b. Acceptable Output Power: Minimum = 1mW, Maximum = 5mW
c. Operating Wavelength: 543-544 nm (Green)
d. Transverse Mode: 90% TEM00
e. Polarization: Linear, 500:1
f. Beam diameter at 1/e2: g. Beam Divergence: h. Laser Enclosure Diameter:
The Government anticipates a solicitation competed on a small business set-aside basis, provided 2 or more qualified small businesses respond to this source sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses in all socioeconomic categories, including 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Women-Owned Small Business, to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price.
