Description:
The City of Norfolk (Owner) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested general contractors, construction management companies, design-build teams, and/or architect-engineer firms that have experience in the design-build construction of stormwater pump stations and/or similar types of facilities. From the responses received, the Owner intends to select a qualified Design-Builder to provide turn-key design and construction services for the Harbor Park Pump Station. A two-phase procurement structure will be used for the Project, consisting of a Phase One Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a subsequent Phase Two Request for Proposals (RFP).Project Description: This project consists of the complete design and construction of a new pump station facility for conveyance of stormwater runoff from the landside of the proposed adjacent U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk CSRM project. The project includes the construction of an approximately 5000 square foot (SF), two-story pump station in Norfolk, VA. In addition to the pump station facility, the project also includes paved maintenance access, service utilities, stormwater management, fencing and gating, and any incidental site features as needed to provide a complete project.
