The Florida Department of Health, Communicable Disease sections have a need to purchase special test kits, including HCV (Hepatitis C) Rapid Antibody, in-home HIV (Oral Fluis Diagnostic), and oral fluid rapid HIV-1/2 antibody test kits (20 minute processing Time). These tests kits are to be used in communities and populations at risk for acquiring HIV and Hepatitis C, through-out the state of Florida. Kits must be FDA approved and include testing for both HIV positive and HIV negative results that can be read in 20 minutes; It-s critical to perform the testing within 20 minutes when conducting street outreach; This increases the opportunity for HIV testing in the non-traditional, oral fluid diagnostic method; and rapid HIV testing methods to reach high risk individuals.In accordance with Chapter 60A-1.045, Florida Administrative Code, the Florida Department of Health's, Bureau of Communicable Disease, HIV/AIDS Section, requests authorization to purchase as a single source, HCV Rapid ...
