Description:
Center for Health Care Affordability (CHCA) planning and facilitation of Advisory Task Forces. The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) seeks a vendor to support planning and facilitation of two advisory task forces that will inform the Center for Health Care Affordability (CHCA)-s policy proposal development efforts. While MDH will convene these two task forces, the vendor will partner closely with MDH, CHCA, and the Health Economics Program (HEP) to inform agendas and prepare meeting materials. The vendor will also be responsible for facilitating meetings, taking notes and synthesizing discussion to inform future meetings, research and policy development. The vendor will also conduct some limited policy research to inform the work of the task forces. MDH will begin to recruit task force members as early as spring 2025. Task force members will explore health care spending trends and cost drivers, develop potential cost reduction and cost growth reduction initiative recommendations, and amplify the voices of consumers and purchasers to inform policymaking. • The primary advisory group (“Health Care Affordability Advisory Task Force”) will bring in perspectives of consumers and other health care purchasers, including employers, as well as individuals with health policy and health care financing expertise. MDH anticipates launching this task force between July and October 2025. • The secondary advisory group (“Health Care Provider and Payer Advisory Task Force”) will be made up of industry leaders (hospitals and health systems, payers, pharmacists) to provide input to the Affordability Advisory Task Force-s work. MDH anticipates launching this task force as early as October or November 2025.
