FOR
SNATCH BLOCK SERVICE AND REPAIR
CGC Healy has a need for service and repair of multiple winch snatch blocks. The ship doesn-t have enough equipment to perform their primary science mission and has an immediate need for technical support for tasks outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW).
1.0 GENERAL
Background The 420- WAGB asset, USCGC HEALY, has five winch snatch blocks in need of service and repair. Snatch blocks are essential for safe and effective use of the Science winch cable for performing their primary science mission. Currently the ship only has two blocks onboard in useable condition, not enough to perform the mission.
Scope The scope of this contract is defined by the efforts and tools required to support USCGC HEALY (WAGB -20 ). The Contractor shall perform service and repair to all five snatch blocks in order to return them to a useable condition. Contractor will provide replacement parts as needed. Blast and paint each block.
OBJECTIVE The goal is to return CGC HEALY science winch to Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status. This is a critical need and shall be completed as soon as possible, in order to minimize negative operational impact to SMILAX-s Operational Commander. The highest priority is one of the 22” blocks.

4.1 Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract shall be 4 weeks ARO.
4.2 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
The primary place of performance will be at the contractors facility in Seattle, WA.
