- The Puerto Rico Highway and Transportation Authority (ACT) requests proposals for professional services aimed at the collection, validation, processing and presentation of data on the weight and dimensions of vehicles throughout the system Puerto Rico road. These services must comply with Traffic Monitoring Guidance (TMG), Vehicle Travel Information System (VTMIS), and Truck Weighing Study requirements established by the Federal Transportation Administration. Highways (FHWA). The purpose of this contract is to collect and report data necessary to support ACT freight transportation planning efforts and federal performance metrics, including but not limited to reliability. truck travel time, infrastructure condition assessments, and compliance with federal Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) and Permanent Counting Station (PCS) programs. The selected contractor will be required to install, maintain and operate the equipment necessary to collect data on axle weight, gross vehicle weight, vehicle classification and dimensions. The data must be submitted in the formats and deadlines required by the FHWA. Proposers must send an email to wmc@act.pr.gov as of June 27, 2025, indicating your interest in participating and providing: name and address of the company, name of the owner and contact person, position, telephone number and email. You will receive by email the instructions for accessing related documents.
