The training will provide an overview on pesticide risk assessment methodology, tool usage, and standards of practice with examples and exercises. The course will be used to train District Personnel in evaluating pesticide use scenarios to be included in the Caltrans Vegetation Control Plan and will allow Caltrans to demonstrate a good faith effort to be compliant with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines. The library development will allow for a collective and easily accessed library of preapproved Herbicides available for Caltrans use.
