The government intends to award this requirement as a sole source to Advanced Measurement technology Inc (23070) under NAICS Code 334519 as there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements IAW FAR 6.302-1. Advanced Measurement Technology Inc is the only responsible source because they are the sole manufacturer of ORTEC HPGe detectors and is the only entity with the capability, parts, and knowledge to repair and test the instruments in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).

DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: 21 SURS is requesting repair services for two (2) ORTEC brand High Purity Germanium (HPGe) gamma detectors. Although these HPGe detectors are considered commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) items, they are highly specialized instruments. Repair services include the replacement of broken coolers within the units.
S/Ns of the equipment needing repair are 16245752 and 19364240.
