The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Region 05 is conducting a market survey seeking qualified SUPPLIERS AND OR MANUFACTURERS to provide construction services for the Hilfiker Wall Repair in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.
PROJECT INFORMATION
The contractor will be responsible to provide all labor, materials, transportation, supervision, and management to perform construction, as it relates to the following:
The Hilfiker mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall has distress in the form of bulging welded wire baskets, vertical and horizontal displacement of the concrete on top of the wall, and an outward lean of the walls has been noted in the Hilfiker wall system for several years. The proposed project will address the bulging wire baskets and outward lean of the wall as well as correct poor drainage that has contributed to the wall-s movement. The project will construct a new earth retention soil nail wall and re-slope the concrete parking area above the Hilfiker wall, fortifying the wall and protecting it from continued corrosion.
