This is a solicitation notice for a contract for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Public Building Service, Region 5, at the Land Port of Entry, 900 International Bridge Plaza, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
This acquisition will result in a single contract award.
The estimated range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a size standard of $45 million. This is a negotiated procurement; there will NOT be a public bid opening.
A pre-propsal conference will be held on July 9, 2024 at 3:00 PM (Eastern).

The Hilfiker mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall at the Land Port of Entry in Sault Sainte Marie, MI, has distress in the form of bulging welded wire baskets, vertical and horizontal displacement of the concrete on top of the wall, and an outward lean of the walls has been noted in the Hilfiker wall system for several years. This project will address the bulging wire baskets and outward lean of the wall as well as correct poor drainage that has contributed to the wall-s movement. The project will construct a new earth retention soil nail wall and re-slope the concrete parking area above the Hilfiker wall, fortifying the wall and protecting it from continued corrosion.
