Description:
The City of Caldwell Community Development Department is soliciting proposals for a qualified Professional Historic Preservation Consultant for the creation of a ten-year Preservation Plan that establishes the historical context to develop goals and priorities for the identification, evaluation, registration, and treatment of historic properties according to the Secretary of Interior-s Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. The project is partially funded by a Certified Local Government Grant from the Idaho State Historical Society. The update process should be designed to be open, transparent, and inclusive to consistently and creatively seek input and involve all possible community stakeholders in every step of the planning process, both using in-person and remote public engagement techniques. The Preservation Plan will provide guidance to the City of Caldwell-s Historic Preservation Commission for prioritizing future projects.This will be the City-s first Historic Preservation Plan.
