Description:
1) Project Summary: In preparation for new construction for Phase 3 of the HOPE SF - Rebuild Potrero master plan redevelopment, BRIDGE Housing Corporation (“BRIDGE”) will conduct abatement and demolition activities. These activities include abating and demolishing existing vacant buildings in the Phase 3 Annex area of the Potrero Hill public housing complex, which is currently owned and operated by the San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA). Before abatement and demolition begin, BRIDGE will coordinate with SFHA to identify and plan for the relocation needs of existing residents and service providers occupying the 23 buildings in the Phase 3 area that are slated for demolition. Once the relocation needs have been identified and all existing residents and service providers have been relocated from the Annex, BRIDGE will abate, demolish and off-haul 154 units spread across all 23 buildings in the Phase 3 area [see appendix files for site plans]. Abatement and demolition activity will occur in a phased approach as each Annex building, or group of buildings, becomes entirely vacant of residents. 2) Scopes of Work: Mobilization / Demobilization, Dust Control, Erosion Control, Building Abatement / Debris Removal, Building Demolition, Tree Removal (as needed), Utility Abandonment / Capping / Removal, Utility Protection, Traffic Control & Safety, Environmental Protection & Monitoring 3) LBE/SBE Goals: Entire project - 25% SBE, RFP - 25% SBE; Project Sponsor strongly encourages Bidders to conduct LBE outreach to participate in construction services. 4) Bid Discount / Rating Bonus: A ten percent (10%) ratings bonus shall be applied to a proposer where the general contractor is an SBE or a Joint Venture/Association composed only of SBE general contractors.
