Request for Information (RFI): Humidity Controlled Storage Shelters
1. Introduction and Purpose:
The Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO) is seeking information on commercially available or readily adaptable humidity-controlled storage shelters for the protection of vehicles and equipment in various climates, including Alaska and Oceania. This RFI is for market research purposes and is to identify potential solutions capable of meeting RSO-s requirements. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not obligate RSO to award a contract. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information and obtain a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate.
2. Scope:
This RFI seeks information on shelters designed to house and protect various types of vehicles and equipment, including, but not limited to: 25K Halvorsen Loaders, 10K All-Terrain Forklifts, MB-2 Tow Tractors, Air Start Carts, ACU-808 Air Conditioners, Maintenance Stands, tow bars, and lights. The relocatable shelters will be mounted on existing concrete pads without specific time constraints for setup or takedown. Personnel will not regularly work inside the shelter except for equipment ingress and egress. Power and water will be sourced from local utilities.
3. Required Information:
Interested vendors are requested to provide detailed information addressing the following Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) and Key System Attributes (KSAs):
3.1 Key Performance Parameters (KPPs):
KPP 3.1.1 Dimensions: Minimum interior dimensions of 50 ft. wide x 250 ft. long. Minimum interior height of 15 ft. (Threshold - T); preferred height of 20 ft. (Objective - O).
KPP 3.1.2 Egress: Personnel doors for emergency egress compliant with local fire code, minimum one on each side of the structure (T=O).
