Description:
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department (The Department) is seeking bids to establish a vendor to supply public survey research services from 1/2/2024 through 6/30/2024. The selected vendor must design, conduct, analyze, and report on the results of four hunter surveys on whitetail deer, black bear, waterfowl, and small game. Depending on the survey, topics to be covered include hunter satisfaction, current and future regulations, Department management goals and objections, and hunting effort. The Department will provide the selected vendor with license holder contact information for each survey. In addition, due to a shared responsibility for waterfowl management on Lake Champlain with New York State, New York waterfowl hunters will be included in the waterfowl survey. The primary survey mode must be telephone, both landline and cellular. However, the proposed methodology can include the use of other methods, such as email or short message service (SMS), to augment data collection and improve response rate. The sampling frame must be designed to ensure a 95% confidence interval or better and a low sampling error. Stratification based on a predetermined number of geographic regions or demographic characteristics may be required.
