Industrial Base Extension (IBex) Program Capability and Capacity Determination Supportfor Mortuary Affairs Report on Washington State. IBex was developed to support DODoperations in remote or hostile environments where little or no commercial capabilityinformation is known or exists. Bolstering DLA-s ability to rapidly respond to shiftingworldwide events, IBex-s strategic partnerships with industry experts allows governmentplanners to leverage the expertise of the commercial sector, and to gain access to thosecommercial capabilities if required. Moreover, through IBex-s partnerships with industryand its Market Research reports, the program provides industrial base awareness over assetsthat can be utilized during a contingency or national emergency.
