The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to award a single or multiple award for a 5-year IDIQ for a contractor(s) to perform work to reduce vegetation-based fuel and apply fire abatement strategies surrounding specified sites in Oregon, California, and Washington as described in the attached documents:(a) Appendix1_maps080423(b) Appendix2_Wildfire_Landscape_sites_allnets0802423(c) Appendix3_SiteEval_example080423.dc(d) Appendix4_Vegitation_equip_exampl080423This requirement is set aside for small businesses. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.5 entitled, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a capability statement by the closing date of this announcement which shall be considered by the agency. An official Request for Proposals will be issued at a later date.
