- Description : IFB #2024-03: Batiquitos Lagoon Maintenance Dredging ProjectThis Solicitation is for the Commission to contract to remove approximately 118,000 cubic yards (CY) of sand from Batiquitos Lagoon Central Basin and place it on the Carlsbad South Ponto State Beach and nesting site W2. Additionally, the project will include the replacement of five thousand (5000) linear feet of protective fencing for all nesting sites (W1, W2, E1, and E2). The goal is to maximize tidal influence within the lagoon to maintain tidal prism, salt marsh, and marine fish nursery habitat within the Batiquitos Lagoon Ecological Reserve.
