- Description : The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is seeking a Contractor to provide Fixed Wing Aircraft Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) Survey Services for various large mammal species.Large mammal surveys generally require the Contractor¿s Pilot to navigate to a study area and fly a prescribed direction or route to search for a specific species while maintaining an altitude of a minimum of 1,500 feet above the surface through variable terrain. The FLIR system will record videos during these flights. When animals are detected, the Pilot will deviate from the prescribed route to capture enough video for species identification and counts of animals to be determined.Click "View Event Package" to Download IFB
