Description
This is a notice of intent to sole source a contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), only one source being available to meet the Government-s need. The contract is estimated for final completion by 9/30/2028.
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 513210, Software Publishers, with a small business size standard of $47M. The FSC/PSC is 7A21 - IT and Telecom - Business Application Software.
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit a firm fixed price contract for Ignites On Demand Licenses to THE STAYWELL CO, LLC, 800 TOWNSHIP LINE RD, YARDLEY, PA 19067-4237. There are no other sources that will satisfy agency requirements for the necessary items.
This requirement is for the continuation of licensing with The Staywell Co, LLC for Ignites On Demand Licenses, previously known as Krames on Demand. This application has been in use for several years across multiple VA facilities and has been determined adequate in terms of providing customizable patient education in an expeditious manner. This licensing is currently integrated into internal Tools Menus across VA applications and benefits from wide adoption by clinicians. To remove and replace this access with an alternative product would require additional technical resources to upgrade menus and redirect to alternative software. Patient safety impacts would be expected as usage of a new application would initially be lower while staff training and adoption was offered/encouraged. Ignites On Demand has been deemed the most comprehensive option for patient education available at this time by Clinical and Educational Staff. Per The Staywell Co, LLC, there are no authorized distributors of the licensing required. Sales are direct through The Staywell Co, LLC as Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
