Description:
The project at Mercedita Airport (PSE) terminal in Ponce aims to improve the space utilization and flow of users in the departures area (airline service counters In accordance with Act 125 of May 7, 1942, as amended, and Regulation 8981 of PRPA Bids and Request for Proposals, the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) is requesting competitive bids from contractors for the project referenced above. ) by expanding and converting the existing exterior corridor into an interior air-conditioned corridor that connects the passenger departures and arrivals areas. The project will also include relocation of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) existing equipment (Baggage X-ray scanner), and administration offices. Restrooms will be added at the arrivals area resulting in restroom facilities at both ends of the terminal. All the necessary electrical, telecommunications, mechanical (HVAC) and plumbing system features will be provided for the proposed areas to be remodeled.
