INCITS is a stand-alone entity with a unique subject matter and is the primary U.S. focus of standardization in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), encompassing storage, processing, transfer, display, management, organization, and retrieval of information. Department of Defense (DoD) participates in the following INCITS working groups: Cyber Security, Distributed Application Platforms & Services, and Computer Graphics & Image Processing.
