Notice Details: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District is hosting a one-hour virtual industry event at 1100 hours Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on 17 April 2025 to provide a project update and to gather industry input as it evaluates project construction risks, industry capabilities, and strategies for the following project in Oregon:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics (SORCC) New Construction of Buildings 300 and 301, Seismic Upgrade and Renovation of Building 201, and Associated Demolition in White City, Oregon.
Firms who respond to this announcement will be provided further details and a link to the virtual meeting. The Government will provide the presentation slides following the event. It is also requested each firm provide responses to a questionnaire to be launched at the conclusion of the event. Responses will be considered for use in the solicitation development.
Project Site Backgrounds/Scopes: The SORCC facility was originally constructed in 1942 as a WWII training facility, but over the years has transformed into a multi-faceted medical facility with a wide range of services. One of the major factors identified in previous Facility Conditions Assessments is the inadequate seismic force-resistance of many structures on campus in accordance with current standards.
