This announcement constitutes a Special Notice. THIS IS NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran Health Administration, Prosthetics Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) has a need for Patient Lifts & Slings (Hydraulic & Electric) that allows caregivers the ability to transfer Veterans between a bed, a chair or other similar resting places.
The purpose of this acquisition is to establish a reliable supply source for contracted items used by Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs), ensuring consistent product availability across all facilities nationwide. This notice is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified Businesses (all sizes) relative to the North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. To support an informed acquisition decision, the Government will host an Industry Day.
