The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates hosting an Inmate Electronic Tablet Devices Industry Day & Vendor Demonstration. This event will take place in Washington, DC. A future date, time, and exact location will be posted as an update to this notice when available. The purpose of this event is for the FBOP to gain a perspective on the commercially available inmate electronic tablet devices that are appropriate for a correctional environment through information exchanges with interested participants.
This information will be utilized as Market Research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, part 10, and used to refine the FBOP-s requirement. It is anticipated the FBOP will follow up with a solicitation at a later date.
Interested participants are encouraged, but not required at this time, to submit brief capability statements to Mason Lacy, Senior Contracting Officer at mlacy@bop.gov and cc Ryan Wynne, Chief, at rwynne@bop.gov.
