INSTALLATION OF TWENTY-SEVEN (27) NIPR DROPS AND ADDITIONAL TELCOM EQUIPMENT IN BLDG 711 ON FORT SHAFTER, HAWAII. SEE ATTACHED PWS FOR DETAILS. SITE VISIT SCHEDULED FOR 17 Jun 2025 @ 8AM BLDG 711, FORT SHAFTER, HAWAII.FAR 52.237-1 SITE VISIT - Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.FAR 52.212-1, INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS -Commercial Items: 1.1. INSTALLATION 1.2. The contractor will complete the following requirement(s) as stated below: 1. Contractor will remove Cisco 3850 NIPR switch 2 from TR Room and install it in the AV Room on fire resistant backboard, on near north wall in a 24RU Rack.
2. Move any existing working drops from switch 2 and move to switch 1.
3. Run a 12 PR SM shielded fiber optic cable from the TR to the AV Room via an existing under conduit.
4. Connect as the uplink cable using GBIC-s.
5. Install 27 Category 6 Data drops, 2 each in 10 locations from AV Room utilizing existing or new conduit.
6. The building was previously wired for data using a underground conduit system to install drops on the wall.
7. Over the years problems have developed with the integrity of the cable that necessitates this work. You can attempt to use the old conduit, if it-s deemed functional. There is also overhead conduit system used to install a wi-fi network to all the rooms. You are not permitted to use it, but you can run new conduit parallel to it.
8. Install 2 CAT 6 drops in Managers Office standard office height, on the wall behind her desk.
9. Install 2 CAT 6 drops in Operations assistant office between two desk.
