The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (GPAIHS) intends to award an Sole Source Contract.
1. 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
2. Reason for Sole Source: exclusive manufacturer of products and software.
3. Period of performance: base year, plus 4 option years.
In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the GPAIHS intends to award a contract for sole source service maintenance agreement for the GPAIHS service units. The government would be injured unless permited to limit the number of sources from which it solicits bids and/or proposals. The sole source is based on the fact that patient care would be at significant risk. Also the last contract was also awarded as an sole source award.
The synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
