- The City of Tampa Police Department operates FLIR 380HDc camera systems on the helicopters. These systems are very complex and complicated systems that contain daytime camera, long range spotter scope, IR camera and IR laser illuminaters. We have standardized the cameras to allow each camera to operate on any of our aircraft should a camera need repair or maintenance. The camera systems need maintenance and repair several times a year due to the high amount of time they are used.
