Page 1 of 1The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salt Lake City VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Avalign Thortex for percutaneous devices used for the continuation of VA research study. This implant is an effective model for percutaneous devices that protrude through the skin, such as lower-body prosthetics for amputees. For this implant system, a porous-coated stem is used with FA coating, which is proprietary to Avalign Thortex inc.
