South Texas VA is requesting An Association for American Medical Colleges (AAMC) institutional membership to support their status as a teaching hospital/healthcare system to develop health professionals to deliver Veteran care now and in the future. AAMC membership supports their partnership with affiliate schools and universities providing trainees and graduates supporting Veteran care. The membership supports STVHCS employees seeking professional development to enhance the VA education mission. A factor unique to AAMC is that membership provides professional development resources and access to data including faculty salary reports helpful for hiring and retention efforts.
