Special NoticeSpecial NoticePage 3 of 3*= Required FieldSpecial NoticePage 1 of 3 Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to make a sole source award to Johnson Controls Inc under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency s requirement. A copy of the approved Justification and Approval is attached to this notice.The proposed procurement is to provide scheduled maintenance, repairs, and software updates for the Confocal Microscope Maintenance. Services will include recommended preventative maintenance, all labor, travel, expenses, and all parts for an unlimited number of on-demand service visits and telephone support calls around the clock. They are the only authorized dealer that can perform service and maintenance on the trailer. Without a service agreement, they can only provide remote support. Any use of unauthorized service from third parties can void all equipment warranties.The period of performance will be for one base period plus two option years. The NAICS code is 811210. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued. However, interested sources may submit a capability statement to respond to this requirement.The Government will consider responses received by 10:00Am EST on 01/20/2025. Responses will only be accepted via email to william.penhallegon@va.gov using the following title in the email s subject line: 36C24825Q0211 Confocal Microscope Maintenance. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
