Navajo Area Indian Health Services (NAIHS), Crownpoint Healthcare Facility located in Crownpoint, New Mexico intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, firm fixed priced contract with SACRED WIND COMMUNICATIONS, INC., 7801 Academy RD NE STE 2-103, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87109 to furnish and install a mobile wireless system delivering bandwidth to support healthcare data and video communications for the Crownpoint IHS facility and Pueblo Pintado Clinic.
This acquisition is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), as only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency-s requirements. SACRED WIND COMMUNICATIONS, INC is the only service provider who provides this service in the area. Crownpoint Service Unit and Pueblo Pintado Clinic are located in the eastern side of the Navajo Reservation in a remote location. The remoteness of both areas has been subject to frequent network disruptions and outages in the region. Applying another service for a dual network design will optimize network services to minimize network disruptions and outages in the region.
This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Only emailed responses will be considered. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
