The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific, in support of Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to SDV Office Systems, LLC (dba SDV Medical) for the purchase of the following Intuitive-s Da Vinci Line of Disposable Products for use with Government-Owned Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System: Da Vinci 5 and Da Vinci X/Xi Arm Drape; Tip Cover Accessory for Monopolar Curved Scissors; Da Vinci XI 8mm Bladeless Optical Obturator (Standard); Universal Seal (5-12mm); Xi 8mm Suction Irrigator; Hot Shears (Monopolar Curved Scissors) - X/Xi; Fenestrated Bipolar Forceps - X/Xi; Mega SutureCut Needle Driver - X/Xi; Large Clip Applier - X/Xi; Large Needle Driver - X/Xi. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) which authorizes the government for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), to solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
