- Description : The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is soliciting firms that are able to perform analytical testing services for the testing of the total mercury content in cosmetic creams, and to a lesser degree soaps, as prescribed in industry recognized methods. Contractor must demonstrate that their analytical method has a suitable level of performance (e.g. precision, accuracy and linearity) and provide description of the method, sample preparation and extraction protocol, and the analytical equipment that will be used (e.g., Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry, or another EPA-recognized analytical method) for inorganic mercury analysis.
