Title: Sources Sought Notice for Mid Infrared Spectrometer system
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research and identify potential sources of commercial products/services that satisfy the Government-s anticipated needs.
BACKGROUND
The Materials Measurement Science Division (MMSD) designs, fabricates, tests, and calibrates nanocalorimetry sensors for material development and process metrology for the semiconductor industry. An important aspect of this calibration procedure is the assessment of emissivity of the thin film stacks in the mid infrared wavelength range. Samples include approximately 100 nm thick film stacks as blanket on solid wafers and patterned on released SiNx membranes that are approximately 100 nm thick.
NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a solution that will achieve the objectives described above, in addition to the following essential requirements:
Mid Infrared spectrometer system for measuring the wavelength dependance of the radiant intensity of heated film stacks. spectrometer should be fiber coupled. spectrometer must include 3.0 µm - 5.0 µm, with additional value for systems capable of shorter wavelengths down to 1.0 µm. Wavelengths shorter than 1.0 µm or longer than 5.0 µm provide no additional value. spectrometer must have a spectral resolution of better than 6 cm-1. are encouraged to include the MWIR light gathering optics and optical fiber and must indicate the spot size and sensitivity their systems can provide. Working distances must exceed 10 mm, with additional value for greater working distances up to 20 mm. NIST is targeting a sampling spot diameter of 250 µm, but diameters under 1 mm are acceptable. NIST is targeting measurements of radiant intensity from films stacks with emissivities near 0.2 from 20 °C to 700 °C, and thus requires high sensitivity and is willing to accept long integ... - Documents:
