- SPECIFICATIONSRequiredActivitiesThissolicitation is intended to provide a mechanism for GISD to procure Internetservices to the multiple schools and service sites in the District. GISD will contract Internet serviceproviders to provide high capacity, high quality, scalable Internet Service forthe district. GISD requests the following services:1.Gigabit ethernet speed, with options of 2 - 10 Gb.2.The proposed contract should be three (3) years inlength with optional two (2), one (1) year extensions.3.The solution should provide service district-wide.4.Under this solution, the Provider shall submit aproposal for installation and ongoing service for (including, but not limitedto) network equipment, network cabling, equipment racks, outside plantinfrastructure, and associated termination equipment as required to providesaid bandwidth rates. All components provided under this initiative shallpermanent service components remain owned and serviced by the Provider.5.Provide a Service Level Agreement on the proposedservice.6.Provide a solution that can monitor and reportonline usage.7.Service will be utilized at all District campusesand facilities.8.Services shall be implemented in order toaccommodate both the current and future interconnection requirements. Theimplementation shall be based on industry standard components.
