Tender are invited for STATE OF ALASKADEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION & PUBLIC FACILITIES (DOT&PF)CENTRAL REGIONINVITATION TO BIDSealed bids for Whittier Tunnel Standby Generators, Project Number 0496(13) / Z580270000, will be received before 2:00 p.m., October 22, 2025 at 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.This federally funded project will install four (4) new backup generators at the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel in Whittier, Alaska (two at the Bear Valley portal, two at the Whittier portal) to allow the tunnel to operate under normal and emergency conditions during prolonged power outages. Work includes diesel fuel tank systems, support pads, sitework, control systems, electrical systems, and other incidental work.The Engineer's Estimate is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Project substantial completion date will be December 15, 2026.A non-mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday October 14, 2025 at the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel (Bear Valley Portal).
