Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst intends to negotiate and make an award on a sole-source basis with Rolls Royce Corporation (CAGE: 63005) for a Fixed-Price contract. This procurement is for the Repair of the JetSCAN Oil Analyzer to provide extended annual scheduled maintenance service and repair support coverage for three (3) United States Marine Corps JetSCAN Oil Analysis Systems for the AV-8B Harrier, F-402 engine. Rolls Royce Corporation owns the operating system that tests, verifies and analyses the oil. As the OEM for the F402 Engine, they are the only source qualified to authorize ‘safe for flight-
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements” for this action. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration.
