The Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) requires an eight-stall stainless steel dog trailer to better equip the Military Police (MP) and the Military Working Dog (MWD) Program at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The trailer will allow for an easier flow of transportation for the canine units while also providing a faster flow during high alert emergencies. The nature of this purpose is to adhere by Army Regulation (AR) 190-12 which states that MP and IMCOM MWD Sections are authorized to purchase MWD trailers to assist in transporting MWDs for training or mass evacuations scenarios. It is considered a requirement under regulation in case of a catastrophic event or for transport in support of another Department of Defense (DOD) agency involved in a catastrophic event. According to the Directorate of Emergency Services Division, the eight-stall stainless steel dog trailer they are requesting will benefit the life, health, and safety of all employees and canine units under the division-s purview. - Documents:
