Premo Mark III Plastic Sphere Dispenser (PSD) MachineThe Kaibab NF desires to purchase a RED DRAGON Plastic Sphere Dispenser to provide for wildland and prescribed fire support.
This is a request for a Red Dragon Plastic Sphere Dispenser that meets the exact specifications within the Scope of Work. This is to ensure compatibility in operations, maintenance, replacement parts, service, and aerial ignition spheres, with the existing equipment utilized by Pitman Valley Helitack and Kaibab NF UAS program.
Alternative PSD machines such as the Aerostat PSDS Mark V are not authorized for purchase, per the 2021 National Wildlife Coordinating Group (NWCG) Standards for Aerial Ignition. Additionally, the SEI Red Dragon and Raindance R3 Aerial Incendiary Device machines do not utilize the 1.25” Aerial Ignition Devices (spheres/fireballs) stocked by the National Supply Cache.
