The U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrologic Network Branch, seeks a contractor to collect water quality samples at the Kawishiwi River USGS gaging station located 22.5 km east of the town of Ely, Minnesota, at latitude 47°55'22' and longitude 91°32'06'. The contractor will send the samples and provide the gage height and water temperature data to the USGS Upper Midwest Water Science Center for processing and shipment to the USGS National Water Quality Laboratory. USGS will provide sampling equipment, sample containers, miscellaneous sampling supplies, and pay shipping expenses. The period of performance is date of award to August 31, 2026.There are four one-year option periods. The contractor will be required to collect six samples each contract period.Quotes shall provide pricing for each contract period, and technical capabilities to perform the work. This will be a firm fixed-price contract with option periods. The basis of award is lowest price technically acceptable (see E.9. Evaluation). Section B.1. provides Performance Work Statement and Schedule of Services for contractor pricing. Quote submissions are due on or before 06/17/2025. The acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 541690 and size standard is $19.0 million. Vendors must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/ to be awarded the contract.
