This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) and constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2025-05. This combined synopsis/solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business. North American Industrial Classification Standard 334513 applies to this solicitation; business size standard is 1250 employees. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to award under a different NAICS if the company would qualify as a small business under the solicited NAICS.
The following is needed:
The 126th Maintenance Group requires 18 each pilot, co-pilot, and 9 each sets of boom operator, quality replacement seat cushions for KC135 aircraft. Cushions should be flight rated, designed specifically for KC-135 aircraft, constructed with high-density foam core for long-duration ergonomic support, Fire-resistant and compliant with aviation safety standards, Lightweight and tailored fit to KC-135 seat assembly specifications, Resistant to wear, abrasion, and long-term compression.
The government understands the Federal Supply System equivalent items are manufactured by Coastal Seat Cushions. The Supply System items do not meet the ergonomic requirements of this purchase and an upgraded or premium item is necessary. The government has identified the following part numbers as possible solutions to this requirement, but by no means is limiting or giving these products evaluation advantages over similar items. Items are only being listed to give quoters an idea of the vision of the requirement.
