Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, sole source contract on behalf of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) to Kilobaser Corporation, located in 405 Lexington Avenue, STE. 2601, New York, NY 10174, under the authority FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), only one source reasonably available that will satisfy agency requirements.
Kilobaser Corporation is the sole source provider, manufacturer, seller, and exclusively distributes the Kilobaser equipment. Given the information above, Kilobaser Corporation is the only vendor capable of providing this product to meet the government-s needs.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotations (RFQ) and no solicitation document exists for the requirement; however, if a vendor challenges the basis for this requirement, please submit a capability statement that includes sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide these services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source procurement.
