(Kosovo local time)The United States of America acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation ("MCC") and the government of Kosovo (the "Government" or "GoK"), on July 15, 2022 have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact for assistance to help facilitate poverty reduction through economic growth in Kosovo in the amount of approximately Two Hundred Two Million United States Dollars (USD 202,000,000) and a corresponding contribution of Thirty-Four Million Six Hundred Seventy Thousand Six Hundred United States Dollars (USD 34,670,600) from the GoK ("Compact" or "MCC Funding"). The Government, acting through the Millennium Challenge Account Kosovo (the "Accountable Entity" or the "Employer" or “MCA-Kosovo) intends to apply a portion of the MCC Funding to eligible payments under one or two contracts for which this Prequalification Document is issued. Any payments made under such contract(s) will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Compact and related documents, including restrictions on the use and distribution of MCC Funding.
