NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to COLA, for the White Earth Service Unit in Ogema MN. The anticipated period of performance will be for a base plus 4 option years.
The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available. COLA is currently used for laboratory accreditation services at the White Earth Service Unit to comply with the standards set in place by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA`88). Continuing with the incumbent vendor is essential as staff are already acquainted with all the regulations of this accredetation body resulting in very successful inspections.
